Dutchess County Pistol Association

All of our buildings and facilities are located on fifteen acres of land owned by DCPA. The facility includes three hybrid indoor-outdoor ranges, one outdoor range, a target and statistical building, tool shed, and a club house. Ranges 1-3 have heated shooting sheds and LED lighting for night time shooting. Range 4 is an outdoor Field Target range. Because of these amenities, DCPA is one of the few clubs that continues shooting throughout the winter, holding outdoor 50-yd 2700 Precision Pistol Matches.

The main parking lot is paved and will accomodate approximately 30+ cars and is well lit by two commercial light poles.
Additional parking is available in our overflow lot on the grassy knoll near Range 3.
All buildings and facilities are well lit with motion LED lights.
All ranges are equiped with fire extinguishers, medical kits, dud boxes, brass barrels, and trash bins.
DCPA facilities are secured with locks, surveilance cameras, and a security system.
Access is limited to DCPA Members with the proper credentials.

RANGE 1
~ Static 50 yard Bullseye Shooting Range ~

Hybrid Indoor-Outdoor Shooting Range (outdoor range with indoor shooting shed)
30 Firing Lanes in Shooting Shed
Two fixed target positions: 25 yards & 50 yards
25 yard line is equiped with electronic turning targets
Shooting shed has lights and heat
Features four outdoor LED stadium lights for night time shooting

All shooting is done from within the shooting shed at outdoor paper targets at either the 25 or 50 yard distances.
Approved targets for this range consist of a single bullseye target stapled to a pre-cut homosote target backer that is fitted for the target holders at 25 & 50 yards
This range is the preferred range for Bullseye Shooting and 2700 Precision Pistol Matches.

RANGE 2
~ Dynamic 50 yard Action Shooting Range ~

Hybrid Indoor-Outdoor Shooting Range (covered range with attached shooting shed)
10 Firing Lanes in Shooting Shed
No fixed targets; mobile h-based targets can be placed at any distance up to 50 yards
Shooting shed has lights and heat
Features over twenty 50W LED lights throughout the range for night time shooting

This is a dynamic range due to the fact that shooting can be done from within the shooting shed at targets placed any distance up to 50 yards OR from anywhere outside the shed, under the covered roof, with targets placed at the berm.
Approved targets for this range are single bullseye target stapled to cardboard silhouette backer, stapled to a pair of firring strips which are placed into an H-based target stand.
This range is the preferred range for Practical Action, IDPA, and USPSA action shooting matches.

RANGE 3
~ Dynamic 35 yard Action Shooting Range ~

Hybrid Indoor-Outdoor Shooting Range (outdoor range with indoor shooting shed)

No fixed targets; mobile h-based targets can be placed at any distance up to 35 yards
Features fixed and knock-down Steel Plate Targets
Shooting shed has lights and heat
Features two outdoor 50W LED lights for night time shooting

This is a dynamic range due to the fact that shooting can be done from within the shooting shed at targets placed any distance up to 35 yards OR from anywhere outside the shed with targets placed at the berm.
Approved targets for this range are single bullseye target stapled to cardboard silhouette backer, stapled to a pair of firring strips which are placed into an H-based target stand.
In addition, this range features various Steel Plate Targets including fixed plates and knock-down plates with a manual reset.
This range is the preferred range for Practical Action, IDPA, and USPSA action shooting matches as well as steel plate plinking.

RANGE 4
~ Dynamic 55 yard Air Gun Range ~

Outdoor Only Range
10 firing points with 1 bench rest
Dynamic target positions from 10 to 55 yards distances

This range has been designed around a Field Target Course format and is designated for Air Guns Only with a 20 ft/lb maximum muzzle energy.
Both air pistol and air rifle are allowed using lead pellet ammo only.
Shooters can use either paper targets or field target kock-down steel targets.
Target mounts have been placed throughout the range to accomodate Field Target style targets as well as paper targets.
Shooters may use the bench rest lane to sight in their air guns for any distance out to 55 yards.

Club House

The Club House is a 35ft x 35ft structure that contains a meeting room with a brick fireplace, rest rooms, and a fully equiped kitchen. This is where the Membership Meetings are held as well as special events and classes. The Club House is available for rentals as well as private functions for members. The newly renovated restrooms include both a Women's room and Men's room. The kitchen facilities include refigerator, freezer, gas stove, mocrowave, sink, and food prep area.
